Jiangsu Polytechnic University is a four-year comprehensive university offering
undergraduate and graduate programs in engineering, science and liberal arts under the
jurisdiction of Jiangsu Provincial Government. The campus is five kilometers far from
the center of the city. Currently there are approximately 7,000 students enrolled. A
new campus, now under construction, has a current enrollment of 2,000 students. JPU has
963 staff members, of whom 446 are full-time teachers. JPU has also invited more than
sixty-five foreign experts and scholars to give lectures on campus since the 1990s.
