Jinan University has 56 Bachelor Degree majors offered in 44 departments and 20 colleges and schools. The courses offered here cover almost all the academic disciplines. College of Chinese Language and Culture is a unique institution of higher learning that specializes in offering to international students long or short-term courses and both degree and non-degree programs in Chinese as a second or foreign language.

In 1906 Jinan School, the predecessor of Jinan University was established in Nanjing Now the main campus of Jinan is in Guangzhou, while two other campuses locate Shenzhen and Zhuhai. There are 20 colleges in the university, offering 56 undergraduate programs, 90 master’s degree programs, 36 Ph.D. degree programs and 6 post-doctoral research stations. The University has 8 affiliated hospitals with altogether 4,303 sick beds.
