Hainan University currently offers 44 graduate programs including MBA, MPA and JM program, 34 undergraduate programs and 10 higher vocational education programs. Chinese Language and Culture Program provides Chinese History, Painting, Calligraphy, Martial Arts, Shadowboxing and Peking Opera courses for international students.

Located on the Island of Hainan, Hainan University is the only comprehensive university in this province. Currently, the number of full time undergraduate students totals 10,000 and that of part time adult students over 5,000. The University has a teaching staff of 620 full-time teachers. There are 25 institutions for scientific research.
