The China University of Petroluem, or CUPB for short(formally University of Petroleum), is an Engineering university that specializes in petroleum-based research, including such majors as Petroleum Engineerings, Petroleum Chemistry, Geology, and Petroleum Transportation. The university is equipped with the first-class facilities, including a library with a collection of 300,000 books, modernized classrooms, new computer facilities and a comprehensive sports center. Above all, CUPB has an excellent academic staff body of 545, including 121 full professors and 128 associate professors. There are both undergraduate and graduate programs, with over 30,000 students. The university has 4 faculties, 5 departments and 3 schools and 1 research center, offering 22 bachelor's programs, 47 master's and 23 Ph.D. programs and one diploma program in Chinese Language Study.
