Study in Beijing Language and Culture University

Programs: Bachelor's degree programs: 16 programs: English, Japanese, French, Arabic, Spanish, Korean and German, Business and Trade Chinese, Chinese Culture, the Bilingual Program, etc. Programs for master’s degrees: Linguistics, English Language and Literature, Japanese Language and Literature, French Language and Literature. Doctoral Programs: 9 programs like International Politics, International Economics etc.
Briefing: In June 1962, the first school of higher education specially oriented to foreign students as higher preparatory School was founded. In 1964, the school was officially named as Beijing Language Institute and later was renamed as Beijing Language and Culture University in June, 1996, which was shortened to Beijing Language University. BLCU distinguishes itself by its unique cultural atmosphere of diversity, which attracts a large number of students from both home and abroad. Since the founding of the University, more than 60,000 students from over 160 countries and regions have stepped out into the world from there over the past 40 years. Since 1990s, the education scope of BLCU has been enlarged, covering a wide range of fields including literature, economics, law, education, history and engineering. The University comprises of 11 teaching units and 13 research institutions, with the number of teaching and administrative staff totaled 1425, including 829 in teaching and researching.
