Programs for Master’s degree Programs : offer 11 advanced language studies , literature and linguistics studies including English, Russian, German, French, Japanese, Spanish, Arabic, European Language, Afro_asian and Chinese. Doctoral Programs:offers 7 advanced language studies, literature, linguistics study and research. The languages include English, Russian, German, Japanese, Spanish, Arabic and European Language.

Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), founded in Yan'an in 1941, was the first institution of higher education in China specializing in foreign language studies. The university is located in Haidian District of Beijing. At present, the university has 8 language departments, 7 schools and 3 research institutes. The university offers 31 language studies. Now the university has one postdoctoral program (foreign languages research), 7 Ph.D. programs, 11 M.A. The University has a teaching faculty of about 540 members, 290 of whom are professors or associate professors and 165 are lecturers. And each year about 70 foreign experts and teachers are invited to teach in the university. As early as in the 1950s the university started to enroll overseas students. Each year there are about 1000 long-term and short-term students from more than 30 countries studying at BFSU.
